About Us
In 2008, in interest to growing interest from area businesses, the Main Street Dartmouth & Area Business Improvement District Association was legally formed and registered as a non-profit organization.
In 2015, we changed our name to The Village on Main Community Improvement District. While legally we are still registered as a Business Improvement District, we consider ourselves to be a Community Improvement District because the work we do benefits more than just businesses. We are more than just a Main Street; we are a community. We also adopted the tagline “Poised for Growth”
Shops & Services
The Village on Main is home to over 175 businesses, including restaurants, retail, non-profits, financial institutions, and a wide
selection of Health & Wellness Services.
Street Cams
Since we are situated on Main Street, one of Dartmouth’s two arterial roads, we are pleased to share our community webcams so that you can check on traffic and road conditions.
